Quiet Turnings
The autumn’s final glow as it gives way to the mystery of winter.
This series lives in the threshold between warmth and stillness, the moment the last light of the season lets go. Leaves, mountains and setting suns show up as abstract forms, loosened into color and movement and built up in layers of paint, gold leaf and resin. Each piece holds a quiet flame: the part of us that waits to be uncovered as one season turns into the next. Now showing at West Winds Gallery in Grand Junction, Colorado
